Recently, there are everyday elderly from downtown who want to rent a house in the village of Meijiawu and around the West Lake. It has become a new leisure life style for the elderly to go to the country and give their house in the city to their children.
9th Hangzhou Neighbor Festival begins

“Familiar people, lovely face. Neighbor, see and care each other.” October 16, 9th Hangzhou Neighbor Festival begins with an ebullience “song of neighbor”. In the ancient courtyard in Jianggan district, the yellow ribbon symbolizes harmony, friendship and warm. Hundreds of citizens come to the festival.
This year’s Neighbor Festival put the opening ceremony once again in front of citizen’s houses. It’s designed to make everyone take part in the festival.
