Public Rental Housing to be Main Force of Hangzhou’s Guaranteed Housing System
As early as 2010 until the cutting edge of Hangzhou’s national guaranteed housing system, the initiative began for an important change. Public rental housing and inexpensive housing will make full use of underground space in its installation and at least one floor will be used as a public garage. The public garage will be used by at least 20% of residents. Middle and elementary school playgrounds will utilize at least one layer as the underground garage, becoming a public garage. The common areas and public parks will have public garages, and will use at least 3000 square meters of space. The installation should use at least one layer of underground parking garage, with a space of 3000 square meters. As far as space conditions allow public parking will be established.
