Chuck(查克)，俄亥俄州立大学法学博士。在美国执教范围包括法学界、商界，曾任教美国知名大学，教授法律写作、法律研究、商业法，拥有丰富的商业知识和教学经验。1998年来到中国，在中国多所大学任教，设计并主讲多家世界著名企业的商务英语培训，曾参与多家电视台的节目录制，他熟悉中国国情，把美国先进的教学经验与中国学生特点相结合，受到社会各界的高度评价，堪称杭州最优秀、最专业的外籍教育专家。
在华执教历程及获得荣誉：
★1998年—2000年：任教于渤海大学、苏州大学；
★2000年：因其杰出的教学，被辽宁省政府授予辽宁省25佳外国专家、5佳外籍教师、金牌外教等荣誉称号；
★2001年至今：任教于浙江大学，教授英文写作、应用英语、商务英语、西方文学、美国概况、口语等课程，教学生动、课堂幽默、深受学生的喜欢；
★受政府的委派，主持浙江教育学院的高校教师继续教育英语培训课程；
★多次参与录制浙江省的英语考试听力，被誉为“浙江之声”；并多次参与锦州、苏州、浙江等电视台的节目录制。
★曾设计并主持锦州电力局和美国摩托罗拉、可口可乐、AMD、英国和加拿大联合企业COM-DEV、英国的SWICHTEC等国际知名企业的商务英语培训课程。
Chuck-@llanson (查克 艾兰森)has a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame (神母大学)and a J.D. (Juris Doctor 法学博士)from Ohio State University.
Having been a lawyer as well as a businessman, he has much experience in the business world. But it is teaching that Chuck enjoys most.
Twelve years ago, Chuck began teaching legal writing, legal research, and business law classes in the U.S. It was then that he fell in love with teaching and has been teaching ever since. He has taught at Myers University and Cuyahoga Community College, one of the top community colleges in the U.S.
In 1998, Chuck came to China to spend one year teaching Chinese students. He enjoyed it so much, that he decided to spend a second year in China when Suzhou University invited him to teach there. Now, it is five years later and he continues to enjoy his "new" career: teaching English to Chinese students.
In these past five years, Chuck has taught at numerous schools in China including Jinzhou Normal University, Suzhou Zhong Shan Technical College and Suzhou University. He is now in his second year on the faculty of Zhejiang University.
Chuck's main teaching area is Writing but he has also taught Applied English, Business English, Western Literature, Survey of the U.S., and, of course, Spoken English.
In addition to teaching at colleges and universities in north and south China, because of his legal and business background, he has been invited to provide Business English Training to a number of multi-national companies in China including the Jinzhou Power Authority (a Hong Kong-based company), General Motors-Delco (U.S.), Coca Cola (U.S.), AMD (U.S.), Com-Dev (U.K./Canada), Swichtec (U.K.) and Rich Food Products (U.S.) among others.
In 2000, Chuck was awarded a Gold Medal by the governor of Liaoning Province and named as one of the top 25 Foreign Experts and Top 5 foreign teachers in Liaoning Province. In 2001, he was invited to join the College of Foreign Languages at Zhejiang University where he continues to teach today.
Since arriving to teach at Zhejiang University in 2001, Chuck has also been tapped by the provincial authorities of Zhejiang Province to provide lessons and lectures to various high school English teachers around Zhejiang Province as part of their Continuing Education program through the Zhejiang Institute of Education. This has given him the opportunity to meet many wonderful Chinese high school teachers and students and to visit many beautiful cities in Zhejiang Province including Yueqing, Linghai, Deqing, Changxing, Quzhou, and Yiwu.
You can also hear him on many of the Provincial English exams as the "Native Speaker". Some of his Chinese friends have dubbed him "The VOZ - The Voice of Zhejiang". He has also appeared numerous times on Jinzhou TV, Suzhou TV, and Zhejiang TV.
Having taught thousands and thousands of Chinese students, Chuck has vast experience in the Chinese classroom and knows how to get and hold the students' interest in learning English. Many of his former students, both in North and South China keep in regular touch with him and he is happy to know that many of those who were once his students are now, themselves, teaching the youngsters of China to enjoy learning English.
Chuck's book on teaching English in the Chinese classroom will be published in 2003.
