      中国外语教育网(China TEFL Network),致力于为境外汉语学习者、汉文化教育传播者提供来中国浙江、长江三角洲地区等地的文化交流平台。此次2010快乐汉文化教育交流杭州、温州- 体验班培训活动由China TEFL Network(CTN)和浙江省各重点大学和温州外国语学校主办,指导单位为浙江大学、美国教育联盟。

China TEFL Network is a Hangzhou-based company providing Mandarin learners and cultural educators abroad with a platform to visit Zhejiang Province and the Yangtze delta region of China. The 2010 Hangzhou and Wenzhou Language Learning and Cultural Exchange (2010 LLCE) is hosted by China TEFL Network (CTN), together with the top-3 Zhejiang University in China as well as Wenzhou Foreign Language School and directed by Zhejiang University and American Education Alliance*.

Translator’s Note: Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province, south of Shanghai, had been a historical capital for Chinese dynasties, and has rich cultural heritage.

      * American Education Alliance (美国教育联盟2010快乐汉文化教育交流杭州、温州- 体验班特色:通过在杭州、温州生活和游览中快乐学汉语,充分实现“边学、边玩、边用”的实用教学法。让参加的中外学生能够在两周的汉语、汉文化教育交流实践操作中学会日常基本对话,适应杭州、温州的生活,非常简单!

2010 LLCE Goal of the Program:

Through living and traveling in Hangzhou and Wenzhou, students will learn Mandarin Chinese with a pedagogy that emphasizes “learning through playing and practice.” During the two weeks, participating American students and local students will interact both linguistically and culturally through basic dialogue and living in Wenzhou and Hangzhou.

Translator’s Note Wenzhou of Zhejiang Province is a major coastal city, southeast of Hangzhou.

      以下内容为此次2010快乐汉文化教育交流杭州、温州- 体验班活动的简介,希望能为中美两国的学生进行的汉语学习、汉文化交流搭建学习桥梁。

The following content is the overview of 2010 LLCE. The program acts as a liaison between the American students and the local students and provides a bridge for both language and cultural learning.

      为了进一步推动汉语国际推广工作和中美两国中学生的文化教育交流等互访活动,弘扬中美两国文化,促进文化教育交流和对外汉语教学的发展,浙大海伦公司经相关政府部门的推荐承担组织、协调文化教育交流和国际汉语推广工作,开展汉语国际交流与合作、国际汉语教师的培训、教材编写以及组织相关考试等工作,是政府机构负责统筹汉语资源和汉语国际推广工作的推荐机构之一。

To further promote Mandarin learning, develop linguistic education, and cultural exchange between China and United States, Zhejiang University Helen Chinatefl Network and related Chinese government agency are part of the larger government-sponsor effort to organize and implement the programs that promote cultural immersion and language learning. In addition, both agencies develop collaborating relations with interested party and support instructor’s training, teaching material, and language exams.

参加对象:适应能力较强;基本英语、汉语沟通能力;身体健康;性格开朗的中美学生。

Participants: American and local high students with basic communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English, respectively; healthy and open-minded with strong ability and interest to adapt to a different culture.

一、“2010快乐汉文化教育交流杭州、温州- 体验班”行程要点:

I. 2010 LLCE Itinerary Key Points:

1、 美国学生的汉语口语、中国学生的英语口语的强化提升:Increase the fluency of conversational Mandarin of American students, vice versa for local students:

      特别设计了“寻找新朋友”、“IT新发现”、“探索新景点”、“淘宝大侃价”等四大口语强训场景,针对各国汉语初学者,特别是青少年,高频率强化训练常用汉语句式使用,使参加者能够有效突破障碍,在最实用的场景中开口说汉语用汉语;双语教师、中美学生“一带二”的近身组合模式,确保教学充分与安全。

“Finding New Friends,” “IT Discovery,” “Exploration of a New Site,” “Treasures and Haggling,” are specially designed activities that provides the environment to enhance verbal communication. Especially for beginning teenage learners, high frequencies of repetition and practicing language structure in applicable environment can be effective in breaking the barriers of language learning. Bilingual instructors and small group pairing can further ensure the quality of language instruction and safety when implementing real-life scenarios.

2、 美国学生惊喜不断的文化体验和交流:

American students experience unique cultural immersion and exchange

      在***祖庙前学习中国书法;在***上放飞风筝;在***殿堂下研习太极、在古代大学里齐颂《论语》,身临其境地置身在温州古老而又现代的情境中体验中国传统文化精髓,感受普通市民生活,寻追温州魅力所在。

Writing calligraphy in front of a Buddhist temple, flying kites, practicing Tai-Chi, reciting The Analects in an ancient schoolhouse are all traditional forms of living. Wenzhou is a modernized historical city and has kept the essence of its cultural roots. American students will have the opportunity to experience the way of living of an ordinary Wenzhou-nese and explore the charm of the city.

3、 中美两国学生边玩边学的艺术创作和语言文化交流:

 American and Chinese students learn through play, artistic creation, and language and cultural exchange

      自己动手,创造美丽。扎风筝、画脸谱、刻剪纸、包饺子、赏民乐、观杂技…了解多种中国国粹,感受中国民俗的无穷魅力。

Do-it-yourself activities: making a kite, draw Chinese Opera faces, carving and cutting paper art, making dumplings, appreciating folk entertainment, watching acrobat and other forms of traditional Chinese activities.

二、“2010快乐汉语体验班”不同于传统课堂讲授汉语学习、汉文化交流模式的课程特色

15天总体形程安排: 15 Day Schedule

第1天 Day 1

1、 上海浦东国际机场接机

Pick up at Shanghai Putong Airport

2、 入住浙江大学下属新宇酒店

Staying at Zhejiang-University-owned hotel

3、 举行欢迎仪式

Welcome ceremony

4、 参观中国著名高等学府--浙江大学,感受名校风采和校园文化。

第2天 Day 2

1、上午游灵隐寺、飞来峰;

Morning: Linyin Temple* (Temple of Soul’s Retreat), Feilai Peak** (Flying Peak) Translator’s Notes: * Linyin Temple with literal translation of Temple of Soul’s Retreat is one of the largest and oldest Buddhist temples in China. **Feilai Peak with literal translation of Flying Peak is a geological phenomenon of limestone, only four sites in China. Feilai Peak was mentioned in many of Song Dynasty poems and legends of Linyin Temple.

2、下午游新西湖(断桥残雪、花港观鱼、曲院风荷、柳浪闻莺),感受历史名城的韵味。晚上学生回顾一天进行总结,用日记形式写下观感。

Afternoon: Westlake (Lingering Snow on the Broken Bridge*, Watching Fish at Flower Harbor*, Breeze Ruffled Lotus*, Orioles Singing in the Willows*), experience the charm of a historical city. Night: Students are asked to write a diary entry to reflect on this day of visit. * All are scenic spots in the Westlake area. The origins of the names are related to various folklores or are coined by famous poets in Chinese history, many dates back to the Song Dynasty.

第3天 Day 3

1、 上午搭乘大巴前往温州外国语学校,开始文化教育交流之旅。

Morning: Bus to Wenzhou Foreign Language School, start of cultural exchange and learning.

2、抵达温州外国语学校,接触中国学生,熟悉校园环境和入住结对中国中学生的家庭。

Arrive at Wenzhou Foreign Language School, contact with local students, become familiar with the school environment and move to the host family.

1、 快乐游学班开营式

1、 情境式汉语、英语强训课堂教学(一) (美方学生由对外汉语教师上课、中方学生由外籍教师上课)

2、 小组行动:“探索新景点”(路线:***—***—***)

Taste of Wenzhou Peasants’ Meal Translator’s Notes: Peasants’ Meal originates from local peasants’ daily meal, uses many fresh, organic ingredients, and is prepared with distinct local flavor.

第8天 Day 8

1、**殿(温州某一宗教景点)前练书法

Practice calligraphy in front of a Buddhist or Daoist site in Wenzhou (Location to be Determined)

2、中国传统民间艺术之剪纸

Chinese traditional folk art: paper cut art Translator’s Notes: Paper cut art involves only a pair of scissors and a sheet of paper. With clever manipulation of paper folding and cutting methods, intricate designs such as the zodiac animals, lotus, and various forms of lives can be portrayed.

3、学唱中国民歌

Learn to sing Chinese traditional folk songs

5、 中国传统美食体验:包饺子

Experience traditional Chinese food: make dumplings

第9天 Day 9

1、情境式汉语强训课堂教学(三)

三、2010情景式快乐汉文化教育交流行程介绍

III. 2010 Situational Mandarin Pedagogical Overview

      从课堂学习、模拟演练、小组行动到口语时间,构成一节完整的情境式口语学习、实践、巩固和中外文化和交流的课程。

Classroom practice, mock scenarios, group action time, and verbal communications form a complete set of situational Mandarin instruction through speaking, practicing the language and during the course of cultural exchange.

一、 课堂学习:

      由温州外国语学校(如可能)、浙江大学、浙大海伦公司优秀的一线对外汉语教师在课堂上教授常用词语和句型,学习利用“强训实战卡片”。

Classroom Learning: Instructors from Wenzhou Foreign Language School, Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang University Helen Chinatefl will teach common phrases and sentence structure, taking advantage of “practical use cards.”

二、 模拟演练:

      由”影子”教师、结对学生针对美国学生的不同汉语水平进行情境演练,并进行实战小组活动准备。

Mock Scenarios: “Shadow Instructor” and paired student progress according to the student’s language level and practice through mock scenarios to prepare for small group activities that involves real-life situation.

三、 小组行动:

      在中英双语助教如影般随身指导与协助下,并有汉语口语贴身小卡片可使用或者结对中国学生结对行动,通过“探索新景点”、“淘宝大侃价”、“IT新发现”、“寻找新朋友”的游戏、探险、任务式汉语口语情境实战,运用常用的汉语词语和句型,使汉语、英语水平得到提升,获得意想不到的”宝物“。

Small Group Activity: With close supervision and assistance from teaching assistants, students can use verbal communication cards to communicate with local students. Through games, exploratory activities, and linguistic tasks such as “Exploring New Sites,” “Bargain hunting and Haggling,” “IT Discovery,” “Finding New Friends,” common phrases and sentence structures will be used to improve language skills.

四、 口语提炼:

      通过汉语沙龙、英语沙龙等的活动,以丰富多样的形式交流和展示实战收获,深化汉语、英语口语表达。

Verbal Practice: Through English/Chinese dialogue and other activities, language is used in diverse situations, thus helping to further improve verbal communications skills.

      从课堂学习、模拟演练、小组行动到口语时间,构成一节完整的情境式口语学习、实践、巩固和教育交流的课程。

Classroom learning, mock situations, verbal communications form a complete set of language learning through empirical experiences and exchange.

Cultural Education Overview

通过情境式和游览式文化体验,美国学生一起学习中国传统文化精髓,中国结对学生了解美国的一些基本概况和英语口语得到预感训练的效果。

Through situational learning and travelling, American students will experience the essence of Chinese culture. Paired local students will obtain an overview of the US and have the opportunity to practice conversational English.

1、 情境式文化体验: Situational Cultural Experience:

      通过***祖庙前学习中国书法;在***上放飞风筝;在***殿堂下研习太极、在古代大学里齐颂《论语》,身临其境地置身在温州古老而又现代的情境中体验中国传统文化精髓零距离感受都市文明。

      通过剪纸、编中国结、学唱中国民歌、画京剧脸谱和包饺子等充满趣味性的中国传统民俗艺术体验,感受中国千年文化 ,加深汉语学习的兴趣,并把自己的中国作品作为礼物带回国。课程之余的额外享受

Through paper cutting, making Chinese Knot, singing Chinese folk songs, drawing Peking Opera faces, and making dumplings, students will experience the “fun” with Chinese cultural heritage, increase interest in learning Mandarin Chinese, and bring back their unique Chinese present home.
